Police rage at 'cop-shooter' bail

By WILLIAM J. GORTA and LARRY CELONA

Cops are furious at a Brooklyn judge who set a mere $50,000 bail for a gang-banger parolee busted for the stray-bullet shooting an off-duty cop.

Judge Linda Poust Lopez set the figure at $25,000 bond or the full amount in cash for Eric Greenidge, 18, over objections from Brooklyn prosecutors.

Greenidge, a member of the Very Crispy Gangsters, told investigators he saw several members of the rival Rock Stars gang Sunday in East New York and fired at them, according to sources.

A stray bullet hit Officer Dawn Foster, 38, a 17-year NYPD veteran, who had pulled into the parking lot of a McDonald's on Pennsylvania Avenue near Linden Boulevard. She was hit in the right arm and elbow and is in stable condition.

PBA President Pat Lynch said, "In the annals of lousy calls, this one is particularly bad and it needs to be rectified before this thug hurts or kills anyone else."
