PBA PRESIDENT CALLS FOR MORE POLICE OFFICERS
AT A MARKET RATE OF PAY

With the same city counsel members who criticized police policies complaining about a sudden rise in crime, particularly in housing projects, PBA president Patrick J. Lynch told the New York Post:

“With all the debate about stop, question and frisk and the passage of unnecessary and useless laws, no one has addressed the real issue facing the NYPD and that is the shortage of police officers.  We need more police officers in local precincts and Housing PSAs in order to fight these crime hotspots and we have to pay them a market rate of pay to keep them on this challenging and dangerous job.”
