Re: REMINDER — VOTE FOR CONTRACT RATIFICATION
As you know, the PBA recently negotiated a collective bargaining agreement with the City covering the period from August 1, 2006 through July 31, 2010, the
details of which have been provided to you by separate communication. On August
25th, the American Arbitration Association sent out ballots to each of you in order for
you to cast your vote on the ratification of the contract.
We write again to urge you to cast your vote. The City and others will be
watching the vote count and level of support to determine whether our membership
continues to stay united. Let’s show all those watching our continuing unity and
commitment to have our pay restored to market by casting your vote in support of the
contract. It is important that each and every one of you cast your vote and return the
ballot before September 25th. Ballots returned after that date will not be counted.
