Protective Security Officers are assigned to federal facilities throughout Brooklyn, Long Island, Staten Island, and Queens NY. All applicants will undergo a training process in order to become applicable to the contract as well as a background investigation through the Department of Homeland Security to get clearance to work the federal sites such as the SSA, IRS, FDA, and FAA.

The Nightingale-Bamford School is seeking to hire a security officer who is responsible for providing safety and security services to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at the Nightingale-Bamford School, a K–12 independent girls’ school in Manhattan. The security officer is also expected to identify and evaluate security issues and to provide quality solutions in order to maintain a safe and secure academic environment. This position reports to the Director of Safety and Security. This is an exempt position.
The schedule is based on a 40-hour work week. The security officer’s actual work hours will be scheduled according to the needs of the school (i.e., 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m to 10:00 pm). Up to 3 Saturdays per month may be required, on an overtime basis.

Strategic Services Group of NYC is looking to hire retired law enforcement officers with a valid NYS security guard license. This is for UNARMED, plain clothes (dress code TBD) positions at two locations in Queens. The rate of pay is $35 per hour. 1099 will be provided for tax filing purposes. The locations are Emblem Health facilities.
Ideally each location will have 4-5 persons sharing approximately 95 hours a week. Days are Monday - Friday; hours will be between 7a-8pm. Saturday’s hours are 7a-1p. Overlapping shifts on Monday - Friday and one person on Saturday.
