P.O. Dale Enton

Police Officer Dale Enton of the 113 Pct. collapsed after suffering a brain aneurysm while chasing a domestic violence suspect Aug. 23, 2002.

The four-year NYPD veteran never regained consciousness after being stricken and was taken off life support Aug. 28 — one day after his 34th birthday.

Officer Enton was a dedicated police officer and devoted family man who grew up in Crown Heights with his brother and eight sisters, He was known to his family as "Junior." Driven by a passion for aeronautics (his late father had been in the Royal Jamaican Air Force), Officer Enton held a bachelor of science degree in aviation management from St. Francis College in Brooklyn. He recently bought his own "Piper" single-engine four-seater airplane and got to take it up every other day or so and for occasional lunches on Martha's Vineyard. "He was a wonderful all-around guy," said Dominque Chicoye, his fiancee.
