The partner of a New York police officer fatally shot in an "unprovoked attack" can be heard begging for help in recently released audio from the moments after the shooting.
Police gunned down Alexander Bonds, 34, after he allegedly shot Officer Miosotis Familia in the head while she was sitting in a mobile command post in the Bronx early Wednesday morning.
Familia’s partner immediately called for assistance after the fatal incident unfolded just after midnight, desperately shouting into his radio for help.
“Shots fired!” he can be heard saying before repeatedly yelling the code for an officer down. “I need a f-----g bus! 10-85 10-85! My partner’s shot! My partner’s shot! Hurry up central!

Bonds walked toward the police vehicle stationed in the Fordham Heights neighborhood "with purpose" before firing off a single round into the cruiser, a police source told the Daily News. Police Commissioner James O'Neill called the shooting "an unprovoked attack on police officers."
A pair of cops chased the alleged gunman — wielding a silver revolver at the time — for a block before confronting him on Morris Ave., where they opened fire and killed him, officials said.
An innocent bystander standing next to Bonds was shot in the stomach amid the confrontation. Police said they do not know whose gunfire struck the civilian, who is currently in stable condition.
Bonds, who’d juggled up to six different aliases, had a criminal record including an assault on a cop with brass knuckles, a police source said. He also served seven years behind bars at Attica Correctional Facility on a robbery conviction from Onondaga County before receiving parole in May 2013. He was slated to be on supervised release until May 2018.
