June 14, 2016 Cop-killer Marcell Dockery, who started the arson fire that killed PO Dennis Guerra and permanently injured PO Rosa Rodriguez, was sentenced to 19 years to life for the crime.  The Guerra family joined PO Rodriguez, PBA president Pat Lynch and a host of police officers in court. 
Feb. 11, 2016 Pat Lynch calls the manslaughter conviction of PO Peter Liang “absolutely wrong” that will have a “chilling effect” on police across the city by criminalizing a tragic accident. 
Jan. 14, 2016 Calling huge raises for elected officials an “abomination” and an “insult to all police officers,” Pat Lynch’s vehement objections are reported in the news account of the Mayor’s approval of the raises. 

2015

Sept. 15, 2015 PBA president Pat Lynch, who was furious over editorials calling for the firing of the police officer involved in the stop of former tennis pro James Blake, sent an open letter  (read entire letter here) to all “arm-chair judges” slamming them for coming to conclusions with virtually no facts in the matter. 
Aug. 11, 2015 Report on the news conference that Pat Lynch attended hosted by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand calling attention for the urgent need to refund the Zadroga bill permanently. 
July 30, 2015 Pat Lynch states emphatically that the PBA has “serious concerns” about the use of body-worn cameras and that they need to be “extensively studied” before implementation. 
July 7, 2015 PBA president Pat Lynch’s opposition to the appointment of a Special Prosecutor for death in custody cases was widely reported by the media.

Jan. 29, 2015 A Department of Investigation probe that was initiated at the demands of the PBA determined that the Bronx Defenders knowingly participated in a video promoting the killing of police officers.  Upon the release of the DOI’s findings, Pat Lynch called for the shutting down of the organization and the disbarment of the lawyers  who participated in the “despicable video.”
