Dear PBA Member,
Strong unions all have one thing in common: members who vote. The most fundamental way to exercise our political power is to vote in elections for candidates who support the interests of New York City Police Officers and our families. But in order to vote, you have to be registered.
If you are not registered at your current address, please take a moment to download a New York State voter registration form at the following link, fill it out and return it to your county Board of Elections at the address provided. (If you are unsure of the last year in which you voted, leave the answer blank.)
To participate in the April 19 special elections and presidential primaries, your voter registration form must be postmarked no later than March 25.
The voter registration process is simple but the impact is significant. As you know, politics is a numbers game. Numbers get a candidate elected and numbers get a law passed. The PBA has nearly 50,000 active and retired members, as well as tens of thousands of family members and friends. We will need to make those numbers felt at the polls in order to achieve our objectives.
Please join me and your fellow members in having our voices heard this election cycle by registering to vote today. In unity, there is strength. Thank you for your support.
