PBA President on AG's request and City Council protest

On some City Council members' protest in front of City Hall:

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:  “it is reprehensible that some City Council members choose to act up in front of the cameras instead of being the responsible body of government that works to solve problems in the communities that elected them.”

On the AG’s request to prosecute death in police custody cases:

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said: “There is absolutely no reason to alter the existing system because if the rule of law and rule of evidence as they stand in the State of New York are followed dispassionately and honestly, then the outcome will be right and just regardless of what office handles a case.”
