PRESS RELEASE

October 27, 2015

A word of thanks from PBA President Patrick J. Lynch

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:

“As we prepare to lay police officer Randolph Holder to rest, we would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the outpouring of sympathy from all corners of our city, from its citizens and law enforcement from across the country.  To all of those who have offered their prayers and tears, we say thank you from our heart, because it means a great deal to all of us who work to protect this city.  We would also like to thank those who have spoken in appreciation of police officer Holder’s sacrifice and in support of the work that police officers do every day.  To them we offer our deepest gratitude. I think Governor Cuomo expressed it best when he said that the police represent every single member of the community as we strive to ensure safety and justice for everyone. We appreciate his consistent support and his message — our message — that law enforcement is a vital part of every community and is deserving of the community’s respect — is one that all New Yorkers can agree with.”
