Ralph Tomeo is the new Brooklyn North Trustee. It’s appropriate
that we are introducing him to you in the issue of The PBA Magazine
that happens to be dedicated to our members currently serving or having
recently served in the U.S. Armed Forces Reserves.
Among his many accomplishments, this latest addition to the PBA
Executive Board is a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserves and was
on active duty until Sept. 30 of this year as a combat arms instructor.
He was activated in November 2001, serving as a Security Forces flight
chief at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey and as fire team leader
in Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.
Tomeo, assigned to the 94 Pct., joined the NYPD in August 1993 and
was first assigned to patrol and as a field training officer. He was
also assigned to the SNEU. He became a PBA Delegate in the 94 in June
1999 and has been active on the COPE and contract committees.
His educational credentials are noteworthy: He has an associates
degree in criminal justice from the College of the U.S. Air Force
and a bachelor of arts degree in political science from SUNY, Oneonta.
