Statement by PBA President Patrick J. Lynch

NYC Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association president Patrick J. Lynch said:

“All police unions should be advocating to be paid like police professionals rather than playing the City’s attrition bargaining game. The PBA does not accept the city’s premise that a raise must be paid for by giving up hard fought benefits or extending working hours. Any union leader who accepts that premise shouldn’t be representing police professionals who risk their lives every time they go to work. While the PBA doesn’t comment on other union’s contracts, we will correct the record for our members when other unions disseminate misinformation in order to cover their inability to deliver a decent contract.”
