November 10, 2011

Widows’ and Children’s Fund receives $10,000 donation from Men’s Health Magazine.

The Executive Board of the NYC PBA accept a $10,000 donation for the families of police officers killed in the line of duty from Men’s Health Magazine.  "On behalf of Men's Health and the more than 3,300 racers who took part in the 2011 New York City Men's Health Urbanathlon, I say a very heartfelt thank you to the NYCPBA and all its members. The organization was instrumental in bringing the Men's Health Urbanathlon back to New York City - the city where the race started back in 2006. We're proud to support the NYCPBA Widows’ and Children's Fund, a truly worthy cause, with this donation," said Eric Hunter the Executive Director of Marketing for Men's Health.  “The PBA Widow’s and Children’s Fund helps us to care for the families of brother and sister officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.  We are very grateful to Men’s Health Magazine for their generosity.” PBA President Pat Lynch said.  From left to right: Joseph Alejandro, PBA Treasurer; John Puglissi, PBA 1st VP; Pat Lynch, PBA President; Eric Hunter; Mubarak Abdul-Jabbar, PBA 2nd VP; Robert Zink, PBA Recording Secretary.
