PBA President opposes the release of FALN leader

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said: 

“No political agenda can justify the violent terrorist acts in which Oscar Lopez Rivera participated.  He has shown no remorse or sympathy for the police officers and civilians who were injured or killed during the FALN's campaign of terror.  He even planned to kill prison guards in an attempt to escape prison. He deserves to be held accountable for these crimes by serving his full sentence. It was appalling to see that sentence commuted.
