From Richard L. Reers: I am a retired Sergeant, last command Tactical Patrol, and former member of the PBA until promotion.  I am reaching out to ask for any assistance members of the PBA may be able to provide for my daughter and her husband and their 3 sons, all under 5 years old.  At 37 suffering from genetic end stage kidney disease and after a year of grueling dialysis, Jonathan is about to undergo a kidney transplant thanks to his sister, Jillian. Jonathan has given 16+ years of service as an EMT & Volunteer Firefighter of the Commack Fire Dept & Jillian continues to serve as an EMT.  This event will take a major financial toll on the family as Jonathan will be out of work without pay for several months and Susan will be docked each time she takes off from work as a Commack Middle School Special Ed teacher to help care for their family.
