Statement on parole denial to Bruce Lorick

PBA President Patrick J. Lynch said:

“Anyone who kills a police officer in New York City should be warned that the PBA, its police officers and families will work tirelessly to ensure that cop killers are never granted parole. The parole process is a painful but necessary one for the family of the deceased police officer as they relive the tragedy and trauma of losing their loved one at the hands of a cold-blooded killer. New York State must continue to send the message, as it did in the case of Bruce Lorick, that if you kill a police officer, you should never expect to walk the streets a free person again.”
