Pat Lynch attacks the credibility of the CCRB as an entity and the accuracy of recent CCRB “chokehold” statistics

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:

“The CCRB has become an advocate against police officers instead of the impartial fact gatherer and advisory body it was created to be.  The agency actively solicits complaints, places pressure on citizens to continue questionable claims, presides over a system that encourages the waste of countless resources in pursuing false, unsworn allegations and judges itself solely by the number of complaints in which it extracts onerous penalties from overworked and undercompensated police officers.  No police officer who has been exposed to the CCRB’s processes over the past number of years would conclude that the CCRB is fair and impartial.  Their ineptness is well documented and no analysis of complaints filed in the past should be considered to be accurate or truthful.”
