The Chief Leader reports on efforts by the PBA and families of murdered police officers to keep cop killers in jail.  The weekly also reports a ceremony honoring severely injured hero Police Officer Dalsh Veve who is still fighting to recover from injuries sustained when he was dragged by a stolen car as he confronted the driver.  In a typically bizarre Chief opinion column that features a mixture of fact and fantasy, the Chief attempts to draw a parallel between Gov. Cuomo being goaded into debating his political rival, Marc Molinaro, and the PBA calling Mayor de Blasio “chicken” for avoiding PBA protesters.  This opinion piece also regurgitates the City’s erroneous view of past contracts where the PBA successfully shattered parity with the FDNY and achieved contracts for police officers that exceed the city’s so-called pattern.
