For the 29th year in a row, NYPD members gathered early this morning at the corner of 107th Avenue and Inwood Street in South Jamaica, Queens to commemorate the anniversary of the assassination of P.O. Edward Byrne. The tradition was started by PBA delegates from the 103 Pct. shortly after P.O. Byrne was ambushed by a drug gang while guarding the home of a witness.
