On March 29, 2014, Corey Lane in East Meadow, NY was renamed for fallen Police Officer Francis T. Pitone a member of the Housing Bureau’s PSA 8. The ceremony was attended by family members, elected officials, PBA board officials and Officer Pitone’s colleagues from PSA 8. Officer Pitone is one of many heroic members of the service who have fallen victim to World Trade Center attack exposure. View Image

Officer Pitone is another hero of 9/11 who died from exposure to toxins following the rescue, recovery and cleanup after the attack on the World Trade Center. View Image
