On Thursday, April 10, 2014, the day after PO Dennis Guerra’s passing, PBA president Pat Lynch joined Police Commissioner William J. Bratton, Fire Commissioner Sal Cassano, UFA president Steve Cassidy and other union officials at a private, informal drop in (no media was invited) at FDNY Battalion 43 to meet and thank the Firefighters and EMTs who rescued and cared for POs Dennis Guerra and Rosa Rodriguez following an intentionally set fire in Coney Island apartment building. The Police Commissioner and Pat Lynch then visited PSA 1 where both officers were assigned to express their condolences and appreciation to the officer’s colleagues.
