PRESS RELEASE

December 29, 2004

Reaction to the death of Jerry Orbach

PBA President Patrick J. Lynch said:

“Jerry Orbach was a fine actor and a generous and supportive man who was always outspoken about issues of importance to the police he portrayed so effectively. He was as comfortable around police officers as he was on a sound stage and the police officers of New York City are very grateful for his support over the years particularly for the work he did for the widows and children of police officers killed in the line of duty. We will remember him fondly and he will be sorely missed.”
