PBA endorses Betsy Gotbaum for reelection as public advocate

Patrick J. Lynch, president of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association of the City of New York said:

“This past Monday I was proud to stand on the steps of City Hall with many fellow union leaders, prominent elected officials and community leaders of the city to endorse Betsy Gotbaum’s reelection as the city’s Public Advocate. Betsy has a long history of supporting New York’s police officers and was instrumental as the Executive Director of the NYC Police Foundation in securing bullet resistant vests for every member of the NYPD. As Public Advocate she successfully fought the waste of taxpayers dollars on an unwanted and unneeded Westside football stadium and she introduced legislation to increase penalties for criminals posing as police officers. Betsy Gotbaum has the best interest of New York City and its police officers at heart and the PBA is proud to endorse her for reelection as Public Advocate.
