PBA reacts to police commissioner Kelly's city council Testimony

PBA President Patrick J. Lynch said:

“Police Commissioner Kelly is absolutely correct about the dismal failure of pattern bargaining and the severe consequences on police operations.  As Commissioner Kelly concluded, our most critical operations, including Operation Impact, which were band aids for already acute staffing shortages caused by low pay, are jeopardized.  Pattern Bargaining is undermining the NYPD’s ability to keep the streets of New York City safe.  It is time to do ‘more with more,’ as Councilman Monserrate concluded, and pay NYC police officers a competitive market rate of pay.”
