Pat Lynch reacts to the increase in murders and shooting

Pat Lynch said:

"There is no doubt that dangerously low numbers of police officers on our streets have led to an increase in shootings and murders. The lack of uniformed police officers patrolling neighborhoods has emboldened the criminals who once again feel free to carry guns and use them in their crimes. These ominous statistics can be the start of the downward spiral that leads us to the dangerous conditions that chase good families and businesses out of the city. Short changing the NYPD for the sake of balancing a budget only puts the city’s economic engine at risk."
