Lynch asks where the City Council’s support was when a violent street gang put a bounty on the heads of two MOS

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:

“New York City police officers are beyond demoralized by the lack of support from the City Council. Each day we hear more and more anti-police rhetoric from council members. Instead of support, what we get is an anti-police bill that will surely be followed by more. They should be marching in support of us for risking our lives to take guns off the streets not supporting demonstrations against us. Where was the City Council’s outrage when a violent street gang put a bounty on the heads of New York City police officers? Instead, they suggest another layer of wasteful bureaucracy that won’t save one life or prevent a single crime. It’s no wonder that our entire force is demoralized.”
