Lynch says hire more cops before spending on customer satisfaction surveys

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:

“Our job is to make the city safe and the safety of our streets is already readily reflected in real ways by tourism, the success of business community and in the number of people who want to live and work here. New Yorkers have never been shy about voicing their displeasure with any service the city provides as evidenced by the workload of 311.  Given the tough competition for use of our taxpayers hard-earned dollars, we’d much rather see any future investment in the department be put into hiring more police officers to patrol local neighborhoods where those officers will directly interact with people who live in that community.”
