PBA President answers Fusco's lies about Thompson endorsement for Brooklyn DA job

Fully aware that the story that they were peddling to the news media was an outright lie, insurgent candidate for the office, Brian Fusco, claims the decision to endorse Ken Thompson for Brooklyn DA was the sole decision of Pat Lynch even though Fusco was a participant in the committee that interviewed Thompson and Fusco actively supported Thompson’s endorsement by the PBA.

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:

“This is typical of the Fusco campaign’s use of misinformation, false accusations and lies.  Political endorsements by this union are done by a process that includes a candidate’s interview with the PBA’s political action committee.  Fusco participated in Thompson’s interview and was energetically supportive of Thompson’s endorsement but now he’s hiding from that fact.   Fusco also seems to have forgotten the record of the previous Brooklyn DA who never hesitated to indict a police officer.  But instead of discussing this and other issues for all our members to hear, Fusco chooses to cowardly hide behind false accusations made through the use of social media.  Lies, false accusations and misinformation are the hallmark of the Fusco campaign.”
