Statement of PBA President Patrick J. Lynch on Quinnipiac Poll Results

PBA President Patrick J. Lynch said:

“If New Yorkers feel that the city is handling crime well, the credit should go to the New York City police officers who work hard every day despite the lack of support they receive from Mayor de Blasio. The fact that 67 percent of New Yorkers approve of the way police are doing their jobs is evidence that there is great confidence in the women and men protecting our streets. If the Mayor wants any share of the credit for that success, he first needs to start treating us and paying us like professionals.”
