PBA President on one year anniversary of IBEW Local 3 strike against Charter/Spectrum

PBA President Patrick J. Lynch said:

“In a ‘union town’ like New York City, it is absolutely unconscionable that nearly 2,000 IBEW Local 3 members have been forced to walk a picket line for a full year. These working families are suffering, not only from Charter Communications’ unreasonable demands to slash pension and health benefits, but also from the inaction of politicians like Mayor de Blasio, who promised that Charter would ‘suffer the consequences’ of their refusal to negotiate. It is time for the so-called ‘friends of labor’ in government to take action, and for all union members to stand united behind our Local 3 sisters and brothers. When we fight together, we win together.”
