PBA President on the Death of Police Officer Brian Mulkeen

PBA President Patrick J. Lynch said:

“We ask the churches and synagogues and mosques to open their doors today, so that New Yorkers can come in and recognize that they are allowed to worship in freedom because of police officers like Brian. We ask them, as part of their sermon today, to ask their folks in those pews to bow their heads and think about a police family who can’t pick their heads up because they are so grief stricken. That’s what happens when soulless individuals carry guns and struggle with police officers. They devastate all of us. We can’t take that devastation away, but we have to come together to make sure that doesn’t happen again. We’ve been here too often. We know the directions to get here. It has to stop.”
