A coalition of unions representing law enforcement officers throughout New York State today issued a joint memorandum opposing the State Legislature’s rush to consider a raft of anti-police bills in the wake of nationwide protests.

Signatories to the memo include:
Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York, Inc., representing 40,000 active and retired NYPD Police Officers
Detectives’ Endowment Association, Inc., representing 20,000 active and retired NYPD Detectives
New York City Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association, representing 18,000 active and retired New York City Correction Officers.
The Police Conference of New York, Inc., representing 25,000 police officers in various jurisdictions throughout New York State
New York State Association of PBAs, representing 45,000 police officers in various jurisdictions throughout New York State
Police Benevolent Association of NYS, representing 12,000 officers in state law enforcement agencies.
The memorandum was circulated among the unions this morning and remains open for other law enforcement organizations to sign on in support over the coming days.
