PBA on deployment of State Police, Guardsmen to subways: We need long-term solutions" to keep Cops on job

PBA President Patrick Hendry said:

“The Governor is prioritizing safety in the subways and recognizing that there is no substitute for a strong police presence. However, everyone knows this isn’t a permanent fix. The NYPD is understaffed by thousands, and hundreds more cops are leaving each month. We need long-term solutions to keep our most talented, experienced police officers on patrol, both underground and on the streets.”
